The movie was definitely intense! I'm a huge "end of the world" movie fan and this one didn't disappoint.

There weren't as many graphics as I thought there'd be, though. You know how many movies will show a disaster as it begins and right through to the end? This movie doesn't do that and it felt weird.

The biggest surprise for me was that most of the intensity actually came from the drama of the story and not the graphic CGI effects. I left the theatre exhausted.

It was a bit long and a little slow at times, but well, well worth seeing! John Cusack was great! Amanda Peet - not so much.
