Yes. Merlin is much older than Arthur and is the one who urged Uther to send Arthur to his Uncle, Sir Ector for safety. Then, when Arthur is old enough, he pulls the sword from the stone and becomes King. Also, Morgana is not a ward of the king, but is Arthur's half-sister and is jealous and angry when Arthur suddenly inherits the kingdom, feeling like her husband should be the king. Apparently, keeping with legend isn't all that important...interesting show, though. See 2 other replies

some show hav no clue how magic works but this one has it down to some type of a science, And the king is startin to tick me off eas up a little.

I was feeling the same, in the movie about merlin, it was about how merlin made arthur who he is and this new series has way too many things that just make it too much of a drama.

and merlin is suppose to have raised arthur. See 2 other replies

I always thought Merlin was behind all the greatness that was Camelot. I just feel Merlin deserves more credit than King Arthur.

Without Merlin, Arthur would have been just an idiot.
