when this series first aired for snydication on SciFi channle it had a lot more in it. like the scene when george gets her new identity from the infectious disease reaper at the DMV or when her and Rube are walking thru the park and some of the Black Plauge Reapers watch intently hoping that a squirell will bite some people so they can fill their quota their is so much that is missing from this episode that is so organic to the story line its carzy HULU needs to fix this!

Meth and Heroin in particular cause distinctive physical transformation. Much of the alterations have to do with malnutrition, but there are also basic chemical shifts that occur for addicts of these and other drugs. The depictions they receive on television are, as a rule, less drastic than the actual changes that occur in reality. This is because A) no matter how much makeup you use, you can't get a person looking truly malnourished, and B) it is disturbing to see, so much so that television shies clear of a full depiction of the reality. For actual images of addicts, run a basic web search.
On a totally unrelated topic, they get on top of the building by wanting to get on top of the building. They are dead. They can just do stuff we can't. See 2 other replies

Say what? This show hardly contains a simplistic fatalism. Though the time of death is somewhat determined for every person--by at least some point--the question of free will more generally is left open to question. The possibility of changing the predictedfuture and avoiding a fatalistic result raises thoroughly interesting questions.
