Not that it never aired, but those scenes establishing how reapers got their new identities were part of the pilot which were cut. But yes, essentially they have someone at the DMV (Or MVD, or whatever it is in their state) who uses old SSNs for the reapers and gives them dead people's identities. It's a curiosity because the scenes are missing, but overall it's of minimal importance to the story as it was written. See 2 other replies

So when Georgia goes to jail how do they deal with her. Like her form of identity? Social Security? Has she gotten a fake license since becoming Mille? Fingerprints? Yes I know its a comedy and a good show and we are meant to over look these things but I am still curious.

OK, so Delores Herbig's character started off being really annoying. But it's kind of cool how she's evolved into being George's new mom. She's the one George goes to when she needs help or just someone to talk to. One would think she would be closer to the other reapers: after all, there's a bond they share that someone like Delores could never understand. But Delores represents that sense of normal life that George keeps going back to. And Delores accepts George unconditionally in a really wonderful way. I'm curious to know how the writers would have continued to develop that relationship had the show not been cancelled.

and even though the wanted poster does look similar to undead-Rube, the reapers' undead appearance's don't change so much that u couldn't see a kind of family resemblance in their dead and undead selves See 7 other replies
