There was a time when Indian films were works of art, with true aesthetic genius ingrained in them. Dances were immensely studied and movements were taken from classical forms. Grace was at the center of all choreography.
The modern bollywood dance, much like the modern bollywood music and film, is nothing but a shadow that mocks its roots. Indian cinema has plummeted like a meteor, crashed and burned like a rocket, and is still going down.
And to loosely imitate that corruption and try and sell it to poor unsuspecting people is beyond despicable. It would be evil if the dancer had ANY idea what she was doing. We live in a time of ignorance, and the best thing is that because of it no blame can be assigned. No one wants to be blamed for anything, and so everybody is equally ignorant.
Argh. Rant. Crud. Sigh. *Shakes head*. *Walks away*.
