Why didnt naruto use shadow clone justu to help build the barricade around the city? I've notice that in alot of episodes he's there pushing and pulling stuff with difficulty when with just a simple cross of his fingers he has all the help he needs....

did the guy with the crossbow even get within firing range of the ribbon & kunai shinobi? Maybe Tenten carried him there.
