I must say, I enjoy watching old shows like these.
The only thing I find, well...interesting is people talking about family values and wholesomeness as if this show were a real and accurate representation of the times.
It is nice to watch a show the whole family can enjoy today. But people and their families tend to be much more dynamic, complex, messy and imperfect and not everyone's mother wore pearls to clean the house!
Another thing that alarms me slightly is how women and people of colour were very much second class citizens, and yet still viewers comment on" the good old days, when things were better." They were not necessarily better for everyone, but I suppose it it nice to pretend.
You don't have to be repressed to have good values and strong family ties. :-)
