April Fool was a slightly perdictable, but still a good episode. It was great to see James Darren (TJ Hooker, Time Tunnel) as the teen heart throb. Jimmy part of course was very real and not overplayed. Also Jess White (The Maytag Repairman) as the anoying manager, and Ted Knight (Mary Tyler Moore Show) gave a brief appearance as the concert promoter. Most show today would have left Mary Stone with egg on her face, or have the Buzz McCall character turn out to be a real loser, but old fashion chivalry win out and the only losers turn out to be Mary's grilfriends. Corny, yes, but I like corn! And this was one episode where someone else than Donna figured out the right thing to do.
