America has changed quite a bit since 1974. Brenda was heavy for the time - check out other shows from the same era. She make look average now, but everybody was a LOT thinner back then.

She looks fine to me. She's even rather slender in that fist scene she's in.

Didn't Mary also have an "etc." wall hanging in her apt.? I wonder what the cultural significance of that was; why it was so popular in the mid 70's.

Wow--Rhoda doesn't even have an appointment and she just waltzes into the doctor's office and is seen right away? I bet those other preggy ladies were gnashing their teeth.

It's funny I should be watching this one right now -- a Walter Cronkite reference and complaints about the economy! Ironic that something 35 years old can be so timely.

Valerie Harper is one of the best comedic actress of all time in the 70's..Who can compare to her?..Also one of the best comedies of that time..I always knew after Mary Tyler Moore she would have her own show..Where is she now?..I miss her..
