At -40 I imagine that a lot of trucks were in the shop a lot. They just don't show it because they WANT YOU to believe that Rick has the only truck that breaks down. I mean if break downs were uncommon why would they have a mechanic on site?...actually 2 mechanics I believe. Rick is 32, not 55 and he's not a freak. Yes, he dyed his hair blue. It's his hair and he can do what he wants to. If you don't want hair to be blue then don't ever dye your hair blue. As far as his work ethic, I think 51 loads for the season is pretty great considering he broke down twice and had to wait so long for the mechanics which Rick claimed drank coffee more than anything and I believe it. That guy always looked so clean. Most mechanics are dirty from head to toe. I really think Rick got treated sh!tty for two reasons, he's from the south (they said they didn't like people coming from the south) and he has blue hair. I think a lot went on that we didn't see and that's why Rick b!tched so much. Clearly they sh!t on Hugh too. He moved waste water all season. I'm sure he didn't complain only because it was on TV. Look at it like this, they said they wanted the money to stay there in the community so from that I believe the mechanics were told to keep Rick's truck in the shop. They wanted Rick and Hugh to make as little money as possible. I'm sure they were trying to get them to leave by giving them bs jobs. Alex on the other hand I cannot say much about. Perhaps they actually liked him or the History Channel cut some sort of deal for them to give him bigger jobs. Really, you don't know if he REALLY went home because of health problems or some other reason. As far as Drew, the owner didn't like him from the beginning. It's hard to see through the BS with Drew though. I can't tell if he really sucks or if the History Channel makes him look that way.
