I definitely agree with Tony Little. I am a little sad inside knowing this is the second to last episode of the entire series. It's so absurdly funny..I remember the animated series. Cartoons today are fxcking disgusting, in the fact that they are complete garbage minus most of Adult Swim programming
You are absolutely correct. The was no sane reason to cancel this show. By it self it would,'ve stood out in its own thus creating a new genre for the time aired, boosting super hero movies and shows "profitable awareness cue." Given the fact that now a days the HERO (silver screen or home vision) trnd is "milk it" worthy, this show might have been the chaser after a hard shot of a failed comic to screen movie. This is the type of show that would've lasted at LEAST 4 1/2 years STRONG and then some. Si? Or am I crazy all by myself. Come on holla at ja'boy.
The Tick isn't dumb; he's innocent to the ways of the world. Ben Edlund (original creator of The Tick) got together with writers from The (animated) Tick series to create this series, and they did make some changes (e.g. Captain Liberty and Batmanuel for copyright reasons). They gave Tick no background, alluding he's not from earth, hence his ignorance of so many things. Ben Edlund wrote the pilot, including the exchange:Arthur: "...no offense intended."Tick: "None comprehended!"Also note: You posted this discussion item under the "Arthur, Interrupted" episode, which was written by Richard Liebmann-Smith. He also wrote multiple animated episodes and voiced multiple characters in The Venture Bros. So, what you see is what the original guys gave us.

I remember seeing this show when it first came out. I used to be a big fan of the cartoon show so happy to see this live action show. If I remember correctly I think the show was in a bad time slot, that, and that its comedy was a little ahead of it's time. The show would have done much better if it was released today.
I do like the characters on the series especially Batmanuel but it seems like Patrick Walburton was just phoning this one in or were the writers really interested in the other characters. The tick has gotten dumber with each passing episode. The Tick from the animated series is well written, smart and funny. So what happened here? I think it just became another sitcom that happened to have superheroes as a theme. The Tick in this series became one dimensional and its sad to see something I really enjoyed (animated) become a ring stain on the coffee table of my childhood.
Sadly, there are no more episodes for them to put up. This is all they ever made. The show got canceled after only a few episodes aired.

Tags are user-generated labels related to this video or show that can help you discover related videos on Hulu. Check the tags you feel are most appropriate for this video or add your own (the number in parentheses indicates how many other users have used that tag.) To find other videos with similar tags, simply click on the tag that interests you most.
Tags are keywords or category labels that can help you and others find videos on Hulu. They also classify videos for later recall. You can tag videos yourself by simply checking the box next to a popular tag for a video or by using the "add" field to create a new tag. Click on any tag — "comedy" for example — to discover other videos similarly tagged by you or other users. Because tags are reviewed by Hulu, there may be a delay in surfacing your tags. The most relevant tags are sorted by category for the rest of Hulu to see. You may assign up to 30 tags for any video or show; to review all of your tags, see the Tags section on your profile page.
Your tags may be visible to other users on Hulu. You should not use:
Profane or obscene language
