Oh, the terrible things they did to One Piece on that station...
But really, some of the edits were just rediculous. I mean, changing the color of a shirt? I'm just wondering what they were thinking when they did that.

Actually, 4kids originally gave them the awful voices, changed several names, and came up with the goofy rap intro because they thought it would be 'kewl', or whatever. Then they aired it on fox, which apparently has very strict content standards for kids programming, so they had to censor it further, making all the guns into squirt guns and anything involving death happen off screen.

Anyone else find it funny that Fox, a network with various dirty, adult, crude-humored, and violent TV shows thinks that a cartoon where soldiers carrying guns is unacceptable? See 7 other replies

4kids where the ones that did all that lollipop stuff, not FUNimation. Luckily though 4kids lost the rights to the show and FUNimation has picked it up and re-dubbed it. In fact, the dub and sub versions on here are done by them. See 7 other replies

Ummm really right what he said there, you should check your facts before you comment on others! However it's more about the fact that they modify the original content so that it conveys the original meaning; and yet it looses a bit of the original feeling. I must also add that Zoro sounds like Yamcha from DBZ >.< OMFG!!! See 7 other replies

haha this is absolutely my favourite show. i like the toei version betten than the funimation dub, because the funimation dub changes all the cuzz words and gives sanji a lollie pop rather than a cigarette
