What a great concept for a show! “The Moment of Truth” involves a simple yet very powerful premise; that knowledge is power - especially knowledge in regards to oneself.
There will be those who see this program as just another example of people who are willing to sell their souls for a dollar. Even if true to some extent, at a deeper level it illustrates the philosophical dictum that the unexamined life is not worth living.
The show requires guts and rewards honesty, and in the process shows the real force - or lack of - of personal integrity.
My only caveat is that the producers are human as well, and one has to take it on trust that the lie detector results are 100% accurate. There may be times when the “yes or no” nature of the question/answer format fails to accurately gauge what may be a more complex situation.
On the whole, gripping and very well done.
