this could be guy ritchie's blockbuster. great cast. great trailer. the old holmes would not sustain a movie audience. Casting Downey was inspired. So psyched for this.

He never used Opium but he did shoot morphine which is an opiate but he didn't do it often. But a 7% cocaine solution injected with a hypodermic syringe was his preference. This is referenced from the opening chapter of The Sign of The Four. But how much an effect one gets from a 7% solution, I couldn't say because I can't find any information on it. But in the late 19th century taking of cocaine, morphine, and opium was legal. See 6 other replies

I have never thought of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson as action hero's. Sherlock is suppose to be a doped up intellectual and Watson a tubby sidekick. See 6 other replies

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson as action heros? That is quite a twist on the old stories, but the trailer does make it look rather interesting.

I'd like to see it I think .
