With the advent of the internet, the ability of this medium to reign down upon us a most dysphoric experience is increasingly disturbing. I watched two episodes of "The Family Guy" after loosing a bet. I read some of the "Reviews" and I think I've struck upon the real, intended comedic plot for this "program?" The actual creative staff is represented by the individuals (identified only by their pseudonyms) that follow each episode entitled "Reviews and Discussions".. The challenge is to convince anyone unfortunate enough to have suffered through an episode of this excrement, there is actual humor, comedy, amusement , etc. in the animated portions.
One can speculate, that there are not enough mood altering substances on the planet to cause one to find funny, when the husband/father character engages in a routine in which he sounds as though the voice has become stuck. For what seems endless, he will incessantly repeat the same word-the most unbearable example is when he "laughs???"-
Ex:"Lois, at this time I will giggle until a viewer vomits or goes into grand mal seizures, which ever occurs first- heh,heh,heh,heh,heh,heh,heh,heh,heh,heh,heh,heh,heh,heh,heh,heh,heh,heh- ad naseum.
For any poor miscreant that finds ANY aspect of this show as funny, one can only hope the mental impairment is temporary.
