A rarity. A movie that jumps the shark in it's preview.

The heavens weep as yet another classic is eaten by the commercial
industry and regurgitated down the throats of pale, callow youth. As I watch yet another "reinterpretation" of a MODERN Classic, it leads me down the dreary path, envisioning, a time when "Hannah Montana" and the "High School Musical" will have to be re-envisioned so that a new generation won't feel all icky and scared of something. It is tooo bad that the youth of today cannot be expected to "get the message" of something in its original form. Oh well, pablum for babes.

The soul of Fame is Debbie Allen without her there is no reason to watch a recycled version when the movie and the TV show that gave us years of entertainment. I didn't see her in the trailer ...Why not a Fame class reunion or something... Where is Leroy?

Fame was one of the first movies I saw with my wife when it came out in the early 80's. I look forward to taking her to the new version as well!

Uh, how 'bout we just re-release "Fame" from 1980? You can't top the original...not musically, not visually. Just like you can't redo Flashdance, or Saturday Night Fever, or Grease. Leave well alone. I loved the original, and I could care less about a retread.
