I just started watching Doc Martin and I'm already hooked! I love the deep rich Characters and humor. Truly recommend this show! Warning!.....after first episode you will be a fan!

and Wallander make me want to buy cable. But then I remember all the crappy other stuff on American TV and think - no thanks.

Thanks BBC for making television good again.

Imagine a plot, character development and people TALKING. Wow -that doesn't sound like reality crap at all -----it sounds like TELEVISION.

Possibly the best TV show ever. I've watched all 4 series twice now (in the past month or so) and I'm still discovering stuff in every episode. Very clever writing and the acting is spot-on; even the minor characters are perfect. The secret to Martin's charm? His incredibly expressive eyes. Can't wait for season 5.

Love this show, can't stop watching. I'll have to pace myself or I'll go through it in 3 or 4 nights and there will be none left to enjoy, like eating the whole carton of ice cream in one sitting.... What will you eat tomorrow?

The village is so beautiful. If I had the wherewithal to leave everything and move there I would.
