Well, it was never really about the horse race...now was it? In the end, the only persons who had any vested interest in the outcome was the horse's owner and Lyle, since he had bet his rent money on it.

HOld on come to think of it, maybe it was just the theme song. still going to check.Amazon has them. The first season is the non U.S. version but seasons 2 and 3 don't state that.
You can find it on iTunes, Mark Russell is the artist, "Kingdom (soundtrack)" the album, "Kingdom Theme" is the name. Or you can check the IMDb message forum for Kingdom, I believe Mark Russell replied to the "music" thread and gave the contact info there.

For anyone who just loves Stephen Fry as much as I do should check out his other shows from BBC. QI (quite interesting) is a very funny quiz show that I've been watching since I was a kid, there are a few episodes on YouTube and Guba. He also did some stuff with Hugh Laurie in the eighties...
