I'm with you Jen! I can't think of another show right now that makes me laugh out loud as much as this one does. I love both "Office"s and a couple other NBC and BBC comedies right now, but Peep Show takes the cake as far as quantity of laughter is concerned - it's usually through almost the entire episode!   See 14 other replies

The biggest difference between American sitcoms and British ones is not the lighting. I think think an american sitcom would ever make jokes about a man getting raped by a lesbian or teenage boys sucking off men or men being hired as a "handyman." Also, these characters are so very flawed (not poorly written, I mean complicated). Americans like good guys and bad guy, not guys who you feel bad for but who are total pricks and f- ups. And many Americans don't like humor about uncomfortable situations which makes up most of British humor. The lighting for very standard sitcoms in the US (the ones on a sound stage with a live audience) are very bright, but that is less and less common these days.   See 14 other replies
