If your stories became real events, what would you do?
Leslie Nielsen's not funny in this, and makes a pretty bad writing deal; he risked everything. (Hmm...sounds like me.) I kept waiting for the joke, but of course, there weren't any. It's a long wait from back then until his more recent classic comedies, but it was good to see the beginning of his career. With Gaby Rodgers and Murray Matheson.

Bert's first clue...the "famous author's" name...Lee Morten...if you know any French it should be obvious...Le mort is death in French...

Typical of many of these stories, there is lots of extraneous dialogue, and still the characters fail to see the obvious or jump to outrageous conclusions with very little evidence.

In this story, why couldn't the writer end the stories with the people healthy and alive? Because it makes a 30-min story into a 5-min joke if he does that.

At least most of these are acted out rather well, they are fun to watch.
