Love the story, acting and props--and the old ads with old prices, from back in the day when they had to give you a segue and an excuse to get you to watch an ad. I think I might have to watch all these tightly packed vignettes.
Venus flytraps (Dionaea muscipula) are fun to watch, but those and other carnivorous plants such as sundews and pitcher plants are becoming scarce in North America. If you want a pet that's easier to care for than a goldfish, this might be a good choice for you--but please make sure your hungry little monster is legally grown or collected, and not poached from a preserve. And don't let it get too big, or else you might have the kind of problem people had in this story. Maybe you can make it a vegetarian?
Oh--and P.S.: don't eat mushrooms picked by a crazy guy who hates you, out in the jungle.
