Why can't they ever make a good Bret Easton Ellis movie? I haven't even seen the movie yet, and I know that its going to be horrible. No vampires, they added a kidnapping plot that never existed in the novel, they have Kim Bassinger's character having a melodramatic breakdown that never even happened in the book. Its like they got the ideas and the themes correct, but um....did they give up. somewhere? Rules of Attraction, great book, horrible film, Less Than Zero was a good book, but the movie became a public service announcement for how bad drugs are and no horrible snuff film, American Psycho was watered down and someone tried to throw a twist ending on it, Christian Bale did do a good job though. So this, I expect the same form this. They're also working on a movie adaption of Lunar Park. The bile is rising in my throat.
Good trailer, but misleading.
