Irene Bedard was the voice and model for the Disney film Pocahontas. Someone mentioned this episode being a bad rip off of "Star Trek" ironically Greg Evigan worked with William Shatner on "TekWar", Mr. Evigan played Jake Cardigan, and Mr. Shatner played Walter H. Bascom.Cameron Daddo played Rafe Valentine in an episode of "Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda", he also did an episode of "Gene Roddenberry's Earth: Final Conflict". While Alan Brennert was a writer and consulting producer on "Enterprise", and he wrote this episode, Jorge Montesi directed the episode and directed several episodes on "Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda". So there are ties to "Star Trek" in this episode.

I'm sorry to be so blunt but everything about this screams poorly executed Star Trek fanfic. As if someone either wrote an episode of Star Trek and it got destroyed in the writers room, or that they never even made it there. From the design of the ship inside and out to the heavy handed morality and the character relationships, it could just as easily been Captain Kirk in that chair... oh and his name just happens to be Jim... Ha.There are so many better episodes dealing with this sort of topic and so many better episodes in this same sort of setting. Look at March of the Light Brigade, Abbaddon and Human Operator to name just a few. You're telling me they didn't have even one of these sets laying around? One model to reuse? This is nearly the worst episode of the bunch... Nearly.
