Yes, this is a story that has been told before. Yes, there are outdated stereotypes. Yes, the acting might be mediocre. But the storyline itself, the lesson being presented, is worth watching. In light of other recent school shootings, such as Virginia Tech and NIU, it brings to home even deeper the message that we must. we MUST, reach out to our fellow humans. We MUST learn to recognize the signs in each other and in ourselves. We MUST exercise that which gives us what is not just a right but a privilege - to be alive, to be sentient, to be cognizant, to be human.
