been watching all the OL episodes to this point, hoping they would improve but no. a couple episodes are hidden gems, but the rest are amateurish crap. Acting is ok, and when acting seems bad it's usually the fault of the writing (and probably the directing as well). Premises, plots, psychology, dialogue, hidden or not-so-hidden messages, all is unacceptably juvenile.
Take this premise for example. Half of mankind in stasis at any given time? The scale of the operation is ridiculous. Billions of units constructed, inside millions of special centers - the largest construction project in history. Then, all these units constantly sucking energy and man-power - how could a starving world even begin to pay for this?
And obviously stasis should not shorten your life, but prolong it, so the reduction of consumtion is not as much as you'd think. Also the rebels claiming stasis is murder would have no case.
Getting power by disintegrating people is also silly. The only thing that rings true is the plan to kill half the people - this is a solution that men in power would resort to in a situation like this.
