The show is missing something important. While I disagree with other reviewers on some of the details of the show - like getting a new host - I do think there is something missing that seems obvious if you are Hawaiian and have lived on Oahu. Where are the women? No. Not the bikini clad beauties on the beaches. The real women, like the aunties. The 'real Hawai'i" is made up of both men and women. All I see in this documentary is a group of young and middle-aged men with no real life experience hanging out and partying. A group of simple surfers on the north shore does not reflect but a tiny vision of the whole picture that is the "real Hawai'i". This documentary reflects only surf-culture, but lacks significant depiction of any other culture. This documentary, from the eyes of one man, shows only his view of what is real, and it seems to have left out a lot of reality. He seems to have a great deal of respect for people who are dangerous or could otherwise be. I get the feeling that he has never learned to respect the other side of life, the one populated by the peace seekers. Lastly, the theme music is all wrong. Warrior? I hardly think a bunch of surfer, beach bums are hardly warriors. What exactly are you defending, warrior? A small patch of sand and waves? From who? Tourists? I gave you a fair shake by watching your first six installments. I am unimpressed and will not stomach two more, or any more. Try again, but next time give us something interesting and well-balanced. Otherwise it is not a documentary, so much as it is a video journal.
