Found it a little amusing that the shiny alien/spirit lady, with her arms up at about 36:25, asks Daniel "Where is Zales? because of the popular jewelry store Zales. Is the alien demanding his marriage?

(Obviously, I know she's talking about their companion, BTW)

I just wish the costumer would decide between the true Salish indians and the plains indians. It's blooming cold in the forest, even in the middle of summer. We've been camping several times in the same area that this was filmed, and the Salish/Snohomish indians were always fully clothed. It would have been hard to depict, but the top spirits were the orca whale, salmon, and frog (along with the raven and wolf).

The "Spirits" had a responsibility to make a legitimate claim of use of those resources or the planet itself. Their attack was an act of war and they should all have been killed on sight like the animals they pretend to be. The pretty mountain doesn't have any rights. This was a pathetic attempt to make mysticism out to be something it isn't and demean what it means to be a thinking human being. I usually like this series...at least they didn't pretend that spirits and gods actually exist or that those who believe in them should be taken seriously.

This is one of the best episodes thus far.

At 37:54 you can see the redhead alien's bra straps through her dress. I find that funny.

Overall, though, I find this episode to be one of the better. There's a solid plot, good characters, and wonderful costumes. It's not just another one where SG-1 gets captured and is put through their paces to get out. Wonderful episode and series.

Does anyone remember the "Friends" episode were Ross created a cleaver way of flipping off his parents by pumping his fist, that's what these spirits are doing lol.

Rock and nerf.. throw at a window...

Rock will of course break the window, because the rock does not absorb the impact of the blow..the window does..

Nerf will not because the nerf ball will absorb the impact.

Now throw an egg at a window, the majority of the time the egg will absorb the impact and break, but hit the window right and the window will break.

But lets take a wooden arrow vs the trinium arrow.

The wooden arrow would be more apt to absorb more of the impact of any hits and therefore would be more apt to bend and bounce off from an impact.. whereas a stronger trinium arrow will force the subject of its impact to absorb the hit and thusly break or pierce through the object.
