Not my cup of tea. Seems aimless and disorganized. No coherent story conveyed.

Aspiring filmmakers- this is how not to make one!
A flimsy sketch for an inexperineced amateur's screenplay. Think of hearing your neighbor's kid banging on the piano next door- like that. You can't blame them for their effort, but no-one wants to listen but their teacher, and only after they've practiced all week.
The actor's did an ok job, also decent photography. But the script and editing (ack!) do not tell ANY story-they merely portray randomized vignettes-the bullet points from the pitch notes. Nothing more. Freshman comp, anyone?
If this was merely a student produced film with no budget, it could be commendable with a C for cute. Since the writer and editor are the same person, however; one can only hold them accountable for this haphazard & hackneyed effort. Only a mom could either follow or appreciate this PROJECT.
I won't go into how the "crazy characters" concept blithely displays an utter ignorance of people who are even mildly eccentric, let alone individuals struggling with emotional and psychological disturbances.
Oh well, the plotline sounded edgy, but what we have here is a lame and contemptuous treatment....

Umm, guys, this wasn't about "special needs" folks, not your "normal nuts"... I was about love and connectivity (or spiritual discontinuity). I liked it but it could have been much better with a bigger budget...

i thought it was a little poitless in a sweet sort of way. there were some things i didnt get like why the little girl went along with it.i thought i was a feel good movie. i also love her logic that normalcy is crazy

Only people who have dealt with mental illness or have a sympathetic attitude about mental illness will "get" this movie. Everyone else will think the movie is stupid or boring, because they believe "mentally ill" means people who are lazy and unwilling to work--just like the guy in a wheelchair who's too lazy to use the stairs.Fortunately, most of our society has come to grips with the needs of our physically handicapped population, but we have a long way to go to properly help our mentally ill population. If we say they're merely lazy, we can deny it could happen to us. Some people who give this movie one star will later look back at it and say, "Oh..."So, watch this movie and keep it in the back of your mind until you get it. Or don't, and doom yourself to a life of misunderstanding and denial.
