This one started out better than part one, but the misused flashbacks killed it yet again. I don't like flashbacks to begin with, but at least make them relevant!

Moses should of thrown the ten commandments upside his head when he said "The new golden calf" and knocked him out. There..... case closed. Episode over. MAN Daniel Faraday (LOST anyone?) was a annoying sob.

How is it that Ezekial travelled to a future earth where the planet was destroyed by aliens?

Many old school actors in this episode. Besides the fact science was used only as a vague plot device in this episode, the story did not lose meaning. To me, this episode addressed the issue of unrestricted research in science may lead man's own destruction, even today in our scientific adolescence. Freedoms are not free. They come with a price. In my opinion, some things are better left unknown. I have no doubt the cold fusion repeatedly referenced in this episode has already been discovered. The result here is evidence why it is not common knowledge. Every zealot with A.D.D. and a library would hold the world hostage. This was a decent episode. Little science, but the message was clear. For lack a better phrase, Science does not kill people, people kill people. Seems fitting as one of the actors, Charlton Heston, is a member and previous president of the NRA (national rifle association).

If anything, this was even worse than part 1.Aside from the hammy acting (especially "Ezekiel") once again we had mis-matched episodes strung together, pompous pontification, and arguments worthy of a college sophomore at a late night wine and cheese party, after one too many hits of the bong.and still more violations of the premise:
1--electric lighting in the courtroom
2--EVERYONE wearing machine-made clothing and jewelry
3--Court stenographer's notebooks were machine made.
(By the way, did anyone notice the continuity error/anachronism in that scene?
For a brief moment, at about 4:15, you can see a ballpoint pen lying on the table in front of the court reporter's notebooks)More baaaaaaaad writing, and baaaaad acting.
Again, one star too many.

Overall this was a good episode. I doubt technological progress will ever cease, but this episode effectively conveyed the unquestionable amplification technology has on the human capacity for good and evil. The ending left a sour taste in my mouth, but perhaps this was a more realistic conclusion. When an individual has the power to level civilization, one evil inclination is all it takes to undo the good of others.
