Spoilers, booze, and Jazz :)
As a SF reader and watcher I'm willing to believe 6 impossible things before breakfast. Hey, its part of the genre! So when I say UNBELIEVABLE nonsense I mean it.
Nonsense #1:
Strains are made of very breakable mechanical parts. Ramming battleships and going into their guts is out of the question. They would BREAK. In comparable mass rations imagine a bullet hitting your car, sure it leaves a hole, but the slug is distorted. And that's a bullet, a solid slug with no cockpit, moving parts, fragile things, liquid, dolls, humans. Those little things.
Nonsense #2:
Let's, for a moment, forget that Strains simply don't have the armor or design to go battleship drilling. When you BREAK into something -you don't make hermetically sealed holes-. You make jagged, hazardous things through wish ATMOSPHERE (that thing YOU breath?) escapes. So that entire scene with the 2 Emilys and the big revelation? Couldn't happen, they would all be sucking vacuum. Heck the door even sealed them in with the hole. THEN Sara took her Strain out. Ooops, I guess she killed her friend with the shoulder hole and the medic even if they should already be dead from oxygen deprivation. Too bad so sad. Oh wait, they live!? WTF?
Nonsense #3:
When you have a hole like the one we see in Dickon, it doesn't just splatter a little bit, bleed a little and that's it. You are going to bleed like a stuck pig constantly. Notice that no pressure was being applied to the wound, so is not as if coagulation was gonna set in any time soon. Bye bye Dickon you're dead. Oh wait, he isn't!? Arrrrgh freaking nuts!
So this episode gets a #1 on being smart.
But the episode has very good drama. Werec is completely insane, and I can believe it. Imagine being dissected over and over and over with NO anesthesia. Remember he got the memory AND felt the cuts, not like Sara who got the memory alone.
So that's a 3 for drama. Average it out to a 2.
And that's my review. Keep rocking dudes and dudettes!
