Being a service man, I have alot of respect for the uniform. But, I think the officer should have shown some repore(sp.). What I observed is the(suspect) was complying with the officers request. With no visable threat, the officer chose to physically take on the situation.
I think the officer should have used a more investigative approach. "what's going on?". It seems to me that this scene is showing that young, alone and eager police officers should be aware of peoples rights.
When these new cops get some experience. it will be better law enforcement, My point is, new cop, you gain what you present...respect.
"This guy's messin with this girl right here."
"I'm gonna talk to him.""Keep your hands out of your pocket."
"Get over the wall."Then it was the suspect who made the first wrong move by running away. Always a bad idea. Not only that but he continued to put up more of a fight. Where's the respect there? And who cares about respect? What kind of idiot fights with a cop? Only bad news there. Be nice and maybe you'll walk away free -- unless you have something to hide??
