From what I remember, relatives of the Pembrooks end up living at the house, "Grandpa", a mom and 2 sister, nicole Eggert and oh whats her name..??....I believe they are supposed to be relations and it was either planned or the "other" family just worked out getting way better ratings.

I had only seen episodes after season one as a kid, at the school library I bought the "Charles in Charge" book, I was like "Who the heck are the Pembrooks??" See 11 other replies

This show just makes me happy. Makes me remember times gone by. Twenty five years is not that long, but long enough for a lot of fond memories.
