The films of Wim Wenders are slow, beautifully shot, carefully scripted and meticulously crafted. However, they are also an acquired taste. Don't watch this if you want to be wowed and catapulted between scenes. The characters are real. The subplots are layered. Fix your attention and you'll be rewarded with a subtle and enriching cinematic experience that is very unique and soulful. If you liked Paris TX, Wings of Desire, Don't Come Knocking or the American Friend, you will not be disappointed. I consider Wenders to be one of the greatest living film directors.
