I saw a lot of negative reviews, after I watched the movie. I saw a few positives and I agreed with them. I thought there was much more going on in the movie than the naysayers let on lol I think it was a comedy because there was underlying humor in how he dealt with the things going on in his life and the therapist. One of my favorite parts of the movie, is something small, when he quits the psychiatrist and on the way out, takes the dying plant with him. That is JUST like me. lol Except I never had to fire a counselor or pshchiatrist. haha. I enjoyed the movie, I'm glad for the ending. I think the director did a good job and was happy with the acting. I especially like Famke Jannsen, but I also really like Chris Eigeman and think he's highly underrated. In addition, I LOVE Harris Yulin in this movie and as an actor (Jake's dad, Arnold)! I recommend this movie for people who understand the frailties of the human psyche and can see beyond the surface of plots.
