Is it just me, or are referring to Nazis and terrorists with technology as, lesser life forms? I'm not trying to be condescending, it just seems that this is your message.
The greatest teacher is experience, and through experience, failure. We must make mistakes to learn from them. Those mistakes include technology in the "wrong hands." In the end, these "lesser life forms" you speak of, terrorists or Nazis, are all human. The idea is, we cannot discount a community of individuals, simply because we see them as inferior. We must grow together as a family, one capable of tremendous good, and tremendous bad.
Why must fearing or loving a "God" be a part of this growth. Instead of fearing and loving a god, why not foster the practice of loving each other and the wonders of the universe, or the Cosmos, if you will. Fear need not be a part of the solution, as it is merely a control mechanism put in place by those who themselves, are dominated by fear. The mysteries of the universe are far more intriguing and wonderful than the set, defined and unchangeable principals of a god/religion described in some piece of human literature/culture; indeed, somewhat childish, in a cosmic point of view.
