I always wondered what the story was behind those characters on Hollywood Blvd and this documentary gave us an intimate look. Joe, The Hulk, is from my hometown in NC and in early 70's my 8th and 9th grade math teacher was a Mr. McQueen -they look alike and I wonder if they are related - either way good luck to all of them
I had seen this posted on hulu for a month or more and never got around to watching it. I'm so glad to have been able to watch it tonight, it was great. Definitely recommend it to anyone!
Fantastic movie. Incredibly well done. Really moving, insightful portrait of the people I have seen on Hollywood Blvd time and time again. I was rooting for all of them by the end of the movie.
I agree, what made this effective was how you're made to like and identify with the characters before the realization that "holy sht! they're nuts!" There was no narration or editorializing. Everything was in their own words. It could have been a bad exploitation flick if not for the restraint of the director.
