Having international leaps might have made producing the show more expensive and difficult. American history is a recurring theme in the show and adds part of its charm. In season 3 Sam does leap into the Vietnam War as a soldier, but his brother is also there. I hope Hulu adds the remaining seasons 3–5!
I love that line in the very first of the show. "Who do you expect me to marry?. I don't breed with inferior stock. The man I marry has to be more than a man than I am." This show is really good!
If people who complain that Sam only jumped in America only took a look at how he explains quantum time travel in the show they would find their answer. All of Sam's days are overlapping from his life - touching each other. If he had lived outside of the country then he would jump to that country's timeline while he was there. He only jumps to events that touch is own days. All of these days took place in America - so he only jumps in America. He can't randomly jump all over the world because he has never been to these places - he's never been outside the country as far as the show is concerned. It would be illogical to demand that he jump to places and people way outside his own experience. It just wouldn't make any sense.Answer the question?
His name is written on the hood of the jeep also cowboys have no need for a jeep so it had to be the vets pay closer attention to the details

I thought that as well. Good Question. I'm chalking it up to the fact that it was an 80's T.V. show. This is before writers were forced, by fans, to make air tight plots. I also wonder why all of Sam's jumps are American based. You never saw him as a little afghan woman, trying to get out of a honor killing or what ever. (Still love the show though)

Check the tags most appropriate for this video or add your own (the number in parentheses indicates how many other users have used that tag).
To find other video with similar tags, simply click on the tag that interests you most.
Tags are keywords or category labels that can help you find videos on Hulu. They also classify videos for later recall.
How can I use tags?
You can tag videos by simply checking the box next to a popular tag for a video or by using the "add" field to create a new tag. Click on any tag -- "comedy" for example --to discover other similarly tagged videos. Tag search can also help you find videos. Filter your search results by adding related tags. For instance, add "satire" to your comedy search to filter your results.
Click on All Your Tags or the Tags tab on your Profile page to see a list of all videos you have tagged. You can filter this list using your tags and see all the videos you have tagged "action", for example. This allows you to create and organize video collections of your choice.
You may assign up to 30 tags for any video or show, so tag away!
What tags shouldn't I use?
Your tags are public by default and everyone can see them. You should not use:
Profane or obscene language
Tags that are inciting or spiteful
Tags that might harass, abuse or threaten members of the community
Tags that may reveal your personal information or any personal information about children under age 13
Tags that promote illegal or immoral conduct
Tags containing special characters or more than 50 characters
Can everyone see my tags?
To help other Hulu users find interesting videos, your tags are public by default and everyone can see them. And as you navigate using tags, you will find interesting videos as collectively organized by Hulu users.
Can I remove a tag?
You can remove tags that you have assigned at any time; to do so, click on the grey [x] next to a tag in the Your Tags section of video pages.
