I am 30 years old and while I have heard of the series I've never seen a single episode. I remember this had a cameo spot on the movie Hackers but I didn't think much of it then. I also researched the Harlan Ellison debate over the Terminator using ideas from Soldier and Demon With Glass Hand (which I watched first). First of all I am amazed that a show in the 60s could have such clean quality here on Hulu. Its almost like watching a new series with a black and white picture. I plan to watch every episode on both seasons.
That said this was a wonderful introductory pilot episode. Simplistic effects these days but at its time I'm sure it was top notch. The acting was really good too. I liked that they can wrap up such a powerful story in an hour. Like another user posted there is no need for nudity, extreme violence of over the top special effects. This show has what you rarely see these days; a solid storyline with very believable characters. The questions he asked the Galaxy Being were some of the most direct and well thought out ideas of our race. What a perfect dialogue exchange between the two characters, I wonder if one day we will ever get that chance and what the answers will be, this series really makes you think. The best I could compare this to growing up would be Speilburg's "Amazing Stories" which also ventured into the unknown and I recall some episodes of that being just as magnificent.
Three episodes in and not a single disappointment. Glad I caught this series and I cannot wait to see more.
