I really liked the ending...his family stood by him...I grew up in the 50's and 60's watching these shows. These shows were well acted and written.

I consider myself fortunate to have lived in the 50's and 60's when TV was great to watch.
The shows had a moral story behind them like this episode of The Big Valley.
Now all you see is reality TV shows or court room shows where folks are paid to broadcast their dirty laundry. I wish there was a Time Machine I could get on to go back to an era when life was great.

this is a phantasy story about a lawyer defending some one for the sake of justice alone; I don't know about the nineteenth century legal practices, but I know that the judicial system is so corrupt in the twenty first century since lawyers lie through their teeth in order to snatch money to fatten their bank accounts, no wonder the judicial system in USA cost more than one trillion dollars a year in tricks, fees, crooked maneuvers, procrastination, etc. we are in bad shape we need a new Judicial System, a real one, more efficient and that doesn't allow lawyers to steal so much. Lawyers shouldn't be making more than $50 an hour of justifiable work.
