The whole movie tries really really hard to paint this elaborate and emotionally complicated situation and awkward relationship between two friends, but the problem in the end, is that it really just isn't that interesting.

If a film is supposed to move you while you sit there, if a moment of your life is supposed to be filled by fpurpose, if belonging means more to you than fitting in, then this movie has depth. I am not gay, but this movie was romantic. Purposeful and jubilant with a background score that meets the mark, The Lost Coast is engrosses the viewer like nothing else since the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The character is really a sigh of reconciling your past rather than a narrative of an evening.

This movie is not fast and not full of action or sex scenes. When you read the description, you might be swayed to think so. However, this movie takes a slower look into the lives of some friends. It's not a bad movie, it's just not what people are expecting. I understand how people might find it boring, but I actually enjoyed it. It's not an edge-of-your-seat or holding-your-breathe-to-see-what-happens movie, but it's a good story. And while some people say they didn't like the ending because there was no resolution, I beg to differ. (This part is somewhat of a spoiler, so don't read after this if you don't want to know anything that happens.) While Jasper might not find any closure or anything with Mark, he manages to let Wendy know about his past and still keep her, as shown in the very last scene of the girl on the couch. There is a resolution here.

Can somebody tell me what the point of this movie was? (Besides a waste of time) Trying to get drugs on Halloween. Wow! How original!
My advice, if you can find something better to do for the next hour, like bang your head against the wall, do that instead of watching this movie.

I didn't really like it, was slow and I still the even get the significance of the story. I wouldn't watch it again it was too boring.
