The Wizard of Oz meets The Warriors meets St. Elmo's Fire.....left me wishing for Earthquake meets 2012 meets The Day After.
Pick a storyteller. First person, third person, computer screen email, first person, third person.
The flashbacks to that night in high school has the characters wearing the clothes they are wearing the halloween night of the actual story.
This story probably looked good in the first written draft.

despite a theme which had the capacity to make "the lost coast" a forerunner in coming of age movie's for gay youth, the movie somehow squandered that opportunity. the performance's of individual actor's was fine but the interaction between the actor's as a whole lacked any spark of imagination. the scenery was, at time's, beautiful and the perfect backdrop for moody and bittersweet memorie's of the central character. yet, the movie was leaden and maddingly slow to reveal the multiple source's of teenage angst prevelent throughout. what could have been was not and disappointingly so. this movie should be redone with a more experienced director who can inject a sense of the vitality of youth instead of the plodding mess we have here.

CRAP CRAP CRAP, jsut when you think its getting there it doesnt, a few minutes at the end almost made me need to leave. was just waiting for that dang trenchcoat to come off and stay off--no such luck. Oh also i watched this at the library, kept looking over my shoulder to see if anyone was looking, but unfortunately there was nothing to see. BIG FLOP

"entertaining" is the wrong word for this, and there is not much "story" there, but the performances are OK, and the filming is good quality. Lots of beautiful scenery. It seems like a stream of consciousness weekend with a few personal secrets woven in that give the characters reason to question the paths they have chosen in personal relationships. I kinda liked it, but if you aren't into indie films that are more about mood than plot, you may not enjoy it much.

The movie had a decent storyline and could have been so much better than it was. As it is....it's okay--- if you want to waste an hour of your life. I am certain that had it been more than an hour long I would have stopped it----something I very rarely ever do.
