you obviously have'nt been to jail for any long period of time, I was in jail for 90 days for defending myself from 2 attackers, 1 of whom had a knife, they attacked me because I had bought illegal drugs from them to help with my shoulder pain, I'm a type 1 diabetic, so when I went to jail it was an interesting experience. the most uptight guard, who acts like the biggest "cop" while your in the cell pod, is actually a regular person that is easy to talk to while they take me to the nurses station to check my blood sugar and take my insulin...but when they take you back to your cell (in front of the other prisoners) they act like a real "cop" again- because of the possibility that some sociopath opportunist would identify that as weakness and try to take advantage somehow....most of the people I met were just hard luck cases (true, I was only hearing their side) but I was able to see what is wrong with the justice system; I mean look at me, I was able to afford a lawyer after being charged with the attempted murder of 2 people and one of them I stabbed in the chest (1 of his lungs collapsed and when he was on his way to the hospital his heart stopped a couple times) my lawyer cost $15,000, ever since then though I've thought, if I am as guilty as the judge apparently thinks, would'nt I deserve more than 90 days. Or is it because I was able to pay a lawyer and they wanted me out so that "next time" it would be even more expensive....that's the justice system in America, Justice is'nt blind its just vision impaired and needs your money to afford Lasic surgery   See 2 other replies
