My son and I watched this together when it was new and we really enjoyed it. We were both dissappointed when the show was cancelled, especially over the way they left it hanging with no hope of ever knowing how the storylines were supposed to be played out and eventually wrapped up.
My son still brings it up to this day and now my daughters and I are watching the shows here. I did warn them that they won't be happy in the end when they get left hanging, with no more episodes but they insist that they want to see it.
I can't help but wonder if whomever owns the rights to this might someday remake it and let us have the rest of the story. On the otherhand, this first incarnation was pretty well done...
As for someone being glad it died in a previous review, I saw nothing offensive about this that would make anyone say that. It tempts me to judge that person as the kind to be bitter and resentful that they weren't quick enough to turn it off if they weren't enjoying the show.
The whole thing was truly very well done and not at all trashy or harmful to viewers in any other way that I can think of.
My biggest compliment to the show is that it actually surprised me in each new episode. In an age when it often seems that Hollywood has run out of ideas or any interest in creating original stories, I really appreciated that. There seem to be so few really talented teams to come together and put on a good show that doesn't just pander to the lowest common denominator of society for a cheap thrill and an easy laugh, I think this show deserves high praise.
