wonderful!!!love love love it!

Cute movie about a young girl wanting her mother to fall in love she uses some Ba Kua mirrors and she is so adorable trying to get this done. She reads books about how to do it from a Chinese book and she is such the student to try and make it happen, heartwarming movie.

This brilliant film has just the right mix of real life and mystery, and it soars well above the traps and bonds of triteness and stereotype to involve you in a small world that's also very large.

Sandra Oh is always a joy, and young Ms. Tian holds her own so well in one of her first roles, that by the end of the film, although we don't see much physical resemblance, we have no doubt that she is her mother's daughter.

This is a film that's just as tart as it is sweet, so don't be afraid of the "heart-warming" label, and give it a try.

If you're interested in other cultural groups and their unique customs and believe in the common humanity of us all, this is a terrific movie to watch.

Nice to see Sandra Oh in this light. Very interesting story with nicely interwoven characters and tales. Really enjoyed the plot and the interaction of the daughter was on the mark. I guess sometimes the children see things a little more simply than do the adults. Some where along the line leaving childhood behind comes at a price.

I needed this film.
