The 90s were a new adventure for the US and most of the world...we saw the end of the cold war, maturing of global trade, softening of hearts that has been steal against the memories of WWII and communism...i feel this series embraced the ideas of the new generation of change, unity and hope for a brighter future in the face of a past full of pain and suffering, paranoia and anger...It is so sad this series came to an end after only 2 seasons...i missed most of the episodes when i was in my early teens due to the odd times it was on TV and was so happy to find it here on Hulu in its entirety...now that its over i feel as if i have lost a friend, the character development, voice acting and relationships were so very strong that one couldn't help but to fall in love with the show...the last episode has been criticized but beside the last couple of minuets, which were a hope for possible third season, the writers knew the series had come to an end...there is great closure in the last episode * SPOILER* the neosapiens are truly made human equals by being able to sexually reproduce and have something greater than individual hopes to look forward and plan to, the old wounds from the war are starting to heal, Nara is able to embrace what she always wanted which was to live a happy simple life on Venus as a farmer and now has the strength to rebuild what was destroyed, Admiral Winfield is able to retire and enjoy a peaceful rewarding life as a rancher where he can see life renew itself and mature, Napier is now an important member of the government and able to apply his matured attitude and experience to building a new future which considers the needs of all, Wolf has found love and a reason to be more than just an E-frame pilot, Alec and Maggie are now together as they always should have been, Mars is reconstructed showing that science can be applied to good and that the neosapiens will have a home once again...and the list goes on and on...the episode is great closure to the first two seasons and the series itself is one of the best stories ever told in animation, far superior to the mindless, dull excuses for entertainment which is on TV today..To the writers, directors, producers and actors of Exosquad, Thank You for a gifted, touching and exceptional performance and story, and to Hulu, thank you for bringing this from the shadows and sharing such a wonderful work with everyone
