While my upbringing in Bangalore was rather different than the life portrayed in this documentary, I have to admit that the film did a fantastic job of highlighting some of the issues that Bangalore is having to deal with. The idea that the youth of India are being brain washed into Zombies I think is becoming more true regardless of their field of study. It is as if our universities are akin to Zombie training camps where the process of learning is substituted by the (much more superfucial) process of memorization.Another interesting dynamic that was well documented here was that of the frustrated lower middle class and their cries for a more balanced society. Having said all of this, I think the show failed to provide an explanation for the elephant in the room. I am talking about why, despite all the apparent hardships of Indian life, people are quite happy. There is a simple and logical answer to that one but before I delve into it I need a break for dinner :).

We better handle this if we want to continue to be an economic stronghold in the world. I have never lost my job due to offshoring and outsourcing. I would switch careers if they were better, and it was better for U.S. companies. Unfortunately, it's not.
