Mary B., you missed something: the only public outcry would come from minorities, which are dismissed by the majority of the country, until recent years.What I find disgusting is that whenever something horrible as this happens to women...any women, there actually is NO public outcry, besides from local communities in which they happen. As far as I am concerned rape in it of itself is a hate crime...against the victim. ANY time a rape occurs against anyone, it is a crime of hate against another human being.This documentary does not deal with hate crimes, but it illustrates perfectly how the justice system in general does not even sympathize with rape victims, or women period.
