The morals of this story are really twisted. Though I liked the idea that Cal knew what he was doing was wrong, yet somehow managed to dredge up a convoluted gray morality to justify his deplorable actions. I know the episodes were really short, but better too short leaving me wanting more than too long and leaving me wanting to shove a pencil in my eye. Besides, this whole series was just supposed to be the prologue/teaser to Robin Cook's novel. So since this series was so thought-provoking, I'd like to share some of what I got out of it with the rest of you. 1. Apparently, Veena is the only nurse on the show with a sense of humanity, seeing as how Cal had to use her father to get her to kill for him. The others just had to be shown what to do and they were all cool with it.2. Getting 6 illegal visas only costs $46K. That's only $7.6K each. Where can I find this guy??3. Cal can arrange for Veena's father to be messed up but can't get rid of that dingleberry who sold him the visas and is blackmailing him. (For a competitively low price, I might add. This dude is seriously underselling himself!) 4. Going to the US magically transforms some Indian women into wanton hos.5. Even if you're a morally bankrupt, womanizing pig like Cal, you'll still get what you want and things will fall into place as long as you're rich, handsome and can fake empathy really well.6. That blond chick who's sleeping with Cal has no soul.7. Robin Cook whacks off to pictures of Pranidhi Varshney every night, which is fine because I think I might now too. What did you guys get out of this?
