The thing that stood out to me was the interview with Jim Wattenburger who makes the following 3 statements which I believe add to the argument for LEGALIZING marijuana which he doesn't realize.
"This is an actual illegal industry, that reaps huge profits and nothing is really stopping it."
- So the marijuana industry reaps huge profits, and the government nor any private corporation has ever thought of redirecting the benefits to them? That doesn't really seem to make sense that anyone (U.S. Government especially) wouldn't see the business opportunity in the marijuana and hemp industries.
"If Marijuana was to become 100% irradicated, this county would become destitute."
- This means that if the sales of illegal marijuana ONLY were to be stopped, the county would not be able to function. This means that the town of Potter Valley was able to be self sufficient off of the sale of MARIJUANA ONLY? I don't know about you but to me this seems like another suggestion to the profit possibility of legalizing marijuana.
"The small Mom & Pop grocery store, the agricultural product supply store, they're making probably 90% of their annual budget off of products that they're selling that help provide this product of marijuana in this county"
- All this statement does in my opinion is provide a 3rd reason for how weed sales have benefited the town of Potter Valley SO GREATLY.
