Star-ving: Straight Outta Compton

I want to like this show and some parts are really funny. I think it work better if they made it much more subtle. Like "Head Case" with a little more slapstick.

I think it's going over the top, which is fine, but that something that needs to be built up to. If you start over the top and stay over the top, it's really not funny. Over the top is only funny when juxtaposed with reality.

Also, it the fact that you're using the music made popular in Sunny is aggravating.

I like Faustino, and I think his sidekick is great. It just seems like their source material is poop.

I was essentially raised by married w/ children and I was aware of Parker Lewis yadda yadda yadda so this struck a tremendous chord with me. To all the whinny little people batching about music rip offs let me say shut up, music and audio are not eternally entwined. Audio and video play off each other and are interchangeable and if you actually produced anything of worth you could see that plain and simple fact. See 7 other replies

The premise sounds fine, and I like Dave, but it's just the worst parts of It's Always Sunny smashed into 5 minute shorts.
I've watched 3 "episodes" and have yet to laugh once.
