After a slow, lurching start in the first episode, I liked the series. I felt it was heartwarming and genuine with some truly heartwrenching moments. Sasha's reaction to losing the part she so dearly wanted was a kick in the gut.
I found myself pulling for the charismatic Chanel the whole way. It was tough watching her basically fail at every turn yet never give up or doubt herself. Of all the ladies she was the most inspiring. At first she seemed so fraudulent with her fake boobs, fake lips, fake eyelashes, but once the real Chanel came out, it was impossible not to love her.
It is just a show, and I have several DVD's of all of these young ladies' previous works, but I have lost all desire to see them in that capacity now that in a sense, I know them.
Well done, Bare Ladies. Well done!
